Robert Grant Yoakum was married to Lucinda Jennings, the aunt of A Payne.
Yoakum wasa prominent farmer and businessman in Lone Mountain in its earliest days. He was heavily involved in Republican Politics, and was a “Union Man” during the Civil War.
Shortly after the war, Yoakum was elected to serve in the Tennessee House of Reprentatives from Claiborne County.
